Located next to the lovely Mill Race Trail greenway in Goshen, Indiana, Red Bridge Retreat Bed & Breakfast offers a comfortable respite within a vibrant small city. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking and/or biking (or short driving) distance of many Goshen area attractions, a thriving downtown district with shopping and dining and entertainment options, Pumpkinvine Trail, Goshen Farmer's Market and Mill Race Center, Greencroft, Goshen Hospital and other medical facilities, the Elkhart River, Goshen College, a range of restaurants, music and cultural venues, shopping, parks, and much more. Parking is available on site. Red Bridge Retreat is located 45 minutes southeast of South Bend Regional Airport and 2 1/2 hours from Chicago and Indianapolis airports.
Jerry and Alma Lapp welcome you to Red Bridge Retreat in every season with warmth and care. Outside their historic home is a shady lawn bordering the silently flowing water of the millrace, with comfortable places to read, write, meditate or simply sit and enjoy the naturescape. The natural landscaping around the lawn has hosted weddings and receptions, meetings, reunions and other gatherings, yoga, live concerts, and more. Across the bridge are the city’s greenway trails. Within a half mile walk along the scenic millrace, visitors will find the Elkhart River dam, city parks and cycling trails, a working farm, artist studios, Goshen College, and local eateries. Inside this historic home, with it's gracious porch and sunny deck are high ceilings and fine woodwork, with original artwork made by ceramicist Jerry displayed throughout. Comfortable, eclectically decorated guest rooms invite napping and a good night's rest, with adjacent spaces for work, writing, meditation, gathering, and more. Wi-fi is available throughout the house. In the summer, air-conditioners and/or fans are provided, and cosy bedding keeps guests comfortable during Midwest winters.
Mutual respect - for guest privacy and needs, and for the space provided - is important at Red Bridge Retreat. Guests are welcome to enjoy and create music and art!
